The filter bed consists of a uniform fine particle sand mixture as specified. The most critical design feature of the Sand Filter is using a correct sand or alternative media.
Sand Filter with Automatic Back wash arrangement is also provided to clean the bed at regular intervals.
It is also used as pre-filter for various other filtration systems.
